This is a beginner class with a total of nine lessons. I have included video lessons and PDF documents to help you along the way. Your time is important to me so lessons are broken up into shorter videos.

Instructor

I am Christine Summers, and will be your instructor for this course. I have been bible journaling for about two years. I find it provides me a moment of peace and quiet to focus on Gods word. It has also become a great time to meditate on what God is trying to say and really opening my heart and listening. Like 60% of the world I am a visual learner. Looking at pictures and an array of colors in my bible make me happy and puts a smile on my face. When I share my doodles it has the same affect on others and that brings joy to my heart.
I have been teaching doodling and art classes to both preschoolers up to adults for 3 years. My classes are simplified, so you can not only learn but add your own ideas and make it yours.

You do not need to be a visual learner to take this course. Rather just have an open heart and interested to lean something new.

FAQ

Do I have to write in my Bible?
If you are not comfortable drawing or writing in your bible, then don’t! Use any piece of paper, journal or notebook. A lot of people have more then one bible and will devote one bible to bible journaling.

Are supplies going to cost me a lot of money?
No! I do suggest starting the course prior to buying any additional supplies. I suggest all you need to get started is a pen, pencil, paper, and a Bible or Bible app. Index cards are great to have on hand too. A list of additional supplies is included in lesson 2.

I can’t draw and I am not creative.
I believe everyone can draw! You will learn building blocks to visualize your thoughts. This course is about using a different technique to become closer to Gods word. It is not about art, but rather ideas and connection.

I suggest setting time aside each day to complete the Course.
